Nature Wanted: Lion Tamer

Shortly after I got my first DSLR (2009) my husband and I took a trip to Boston. While we were there we visited the Franklin Park Zoo, where I shot this lion. It still makes me smile when I look at it because he was so expressive! I took a lot of different shots, but this is my favorite. Now I know what it's like to stare down the throat of a lion!

That roar must have been scary indeed

Love the colors - a bit muted not too oversaturated, love the sharpness and the subject isolation - also superb post-processing ! I happily nominate this very good orthodontic shot !
