Taken ca. February 2014
Like most of the shots I've taken in the past, this somewhat relies on luck. I intentionally left this as is to keep its grit, which is usually transformed or removed in other photographs.
I've always heard the phrase "walang hitsura" (roughly, without details) in the Philippines to describe people who either look ordinary or displeasing to someone. Enticed by "Bunny Image, Loss of: The Case of Bitsy S.", a short story by Donald Barthelme, I took the Filipino expression seriously, and, in effect, also tried to answer: "what does it feel like to lose parts of the body?"
