Taken on a sunny afternoon. Beautiful time of year at a birthday party next to the Blue Mountains, Australia.
This was one of many keepers, and one of my favourite photos that i have ever taken.

I nominate this photo. The scene is simply stunning, would have liked it a little bit more looking on the face off the kid, but this is great in many ways.

Nominated. In addition to a masterful use of depth of field, I like that the boy is fully engaged with whatever it is that's captured his attention. For me, portraits are often more interesting and powerful when the subject is not looking into the camera, and this picture is an example of how to do it.
