We had a rare and late ice storm in Houston and everything looked so great that I took my camera to work with me. Didn't even get out of the driveway before I found ice-covered buds trees and just had to stop. This was a bud that wasn't expecting the ice jacket that morning.
The shot was at true 1:1 macro and has had a bit of tweaking in Lightroom CC to enhance the contrast & saturation (it was a very grey sky that morning), slight sharpening to pull up the etching in the ice surface, and slight noise reduction.

Still learning - a K3 would probably help!
