The most amazing thing about this image is that the sky was real, although emphasized through a polarizing filter. A decent tripod was also used and the exposure was long, since it was shot in the early day-light. Lone tree was carefully framed and included in the composition.
I would like to pitch the somewhat outdated,16mp sensor from Pentax K30, K50, K500, K5, K5II, and K5IIs as being truly great, with excellent colors, color depth, and dynamic range. Older type, Sigma lens,10-20mm f4-5.6, was used, but is still a very good lens!
Note to Pentax - I would love to buy a 10-22mm or 10-24mm WR- HD Pentax lens to replace my Sigma, since I often photograph very near lakes and the ocean! However, although the Sigma is an older design, the results often very good on the Pentax 16MP sensor.
