Very interesting perspective, this works brilliantly as an abstract for me too.
I love the clean lines of ceiling against the dirty decay on the pillars.

Thank you for the nice comments. This shot is one of my favorites from Venice. It was taken on the east side of San Marco just about even with the tower.
