Round 2: Orange shapes
Lens: Tamron SP Di AF 90mm 1:2.8 MACRO 1:1 272E Camera: PENTAX K5

Ok guys.....I made it to stage 2. It was very hard to find an associations between words from set A and words from set B. I'm a macro photographer. After a lot of thinking I decided to go ahead with what I love to shoot. Insects. This is a jumping spider (Saitis barbipes) I shot while he was visiting my phalaenopsis orchid. I really liked his orange color and shapes so I associated orange and shapes.
I hope you like my photo!

This is a beautiful shot! Macro is much harder than people think. Having used tubes and an old Takumar 50mm with both my K5 and K3 I know how difficult it is to get a shot like this! And I don't think a dedicated macro lens makes it much easier. Anyway great shot!

Thanks a lot jarvyboy! I used an old SMC 50mm with extension tubes in the past. The photo I entered in stage one was shot with that gear. With the 50mm you have to get much closer to the subject but one problem is always there in macro......millimetric depth of field.
Thanks again
Cheers!

Hi all,
when is voting for round 3 starting? I'm getting nervous.....my shot did not get the feedback I expected. I know spiders are not the most popular subject....but apart from that is there anything wrong about composition, tone, image qualityor anything else?
I hope I make it to round 3!

Cheers all
