natural repetition (K-3 contest Rd2)
Lens: FA*28-70/2.8AL Camera: Pentax K-5

Trying to simulate natural bas-relief sculptures. From processing - just toning. Was photographing in the rain. Original color here

Love the concept and execution as wells as the nerve/courage of the models and photographer (both seem to be in a precarious position).

Yet another great shot Bondezire and it does look better in the toned version rather than in colour.

I have to agree with Bluenose re. the courage of the models too, nude in public like that has to be running risks although very few people actually look up when they are on a street so they may never have been noticed.

The toned version is definitely superior.

Seriously good concept and execution, here. Like the others, the monochrome version works best for me, as it blends the models in with the statue of Mercury (at least, I presume the winged helmet figure is Mercury).

Europeans don't seem to be fazed by public nudity, at least the way the English-speaking countries tend to be. When I was in Prague a couple of years ago, a totally naked woman strolled past our outdoor dining table on a busy street, and only the tourists were shocked by it (not necessarily offended, just surprised, really).

Definitely the toned version. It really says "ART"! The rain and the architecture just bring it all together. I agree with RobA: "seriously good".

Beautiful, although you need a third model in there too. The bloke down the end isn't showing much interest.
I travelled through Europe in the 90's, and I don't remember ornaments on the buildings like these, Maybe next time I'll look up more often.

Just had another look. They really are stunning bodies on those girls. Great shot.

Edit: I couldn't help but have a little play with your girls. Hope you don't mind, but I reckon this works as well.....

It is brilliant!

What I want to know is how you ever conned them into climbing out there?

It totally changes the spirit of that picture. I like the original more.

I agree with micromacro. I prefer the original. If I had to sum up what the original conveys, I think it is "living architecture".
