Some of the photos deserve more than a k-3. it took me almost 2 hours to decide for 4 photos out of my 9 favourites.

So many great shots. Some just held more appeal to me than others. Whittling it down to 15 or so wasn't too bad...really tough after that. Nice work by all of you

i am honestly trying NOT to look at any of the photos (its like looking under the hood of the car you are racing against Lol) but couldnt help but glance at some and wow its crazy..wish everyone nothing but the best of luck but i think i might need it the most hahaha

Was hard to vote too. And ILLmatic173 don't worry about it.. it seems trying to do something special might have backfired lowering my chances in a comp full of amazing images.

Haha yea its all good..I'm honored to have been nominated especially among some of the best photographers in the game.. It gives me more motivation to get better :-) life is good,baby!

FWIW, I think your work is very well done and I hope it receives the credit it deserves.

The discussion what "photography" means to different individuals an interesting one, but I don't understand why some feel it needs to be held in connection with this K-3 contest. The rules of the contest were clear to allow work of the nature you created so it really is not an issue at all.

Yea.

No idea why. Possibility because its such a good prize and some might see it as cheating?

The only reason I did it was because the rules allowed and because the quality of the images was so high that I felt I had to push myself or I would have done something different.

At the end of the day though. I got this far in a comp full of great photographers which is an achievement in itself an am so proud and to top it off a cool image of my daughter

So really in a way I'm already a winner and really glad I entered the comp.

I have to agree with class A..the photo you entered is awesome..and it fits the theme extremely well..win or lose ..keep doing your thing man cause its awesome;-)

It is not that great of prize & I cannot imagine that anyone would think it is
cheating...but, I cannot speak for any other.
For me, I think the controversy is over the fact that no single person has
given a name or a classification to the type of photographic
art that your portrait so brilliantly displays~
Computer Photography?
Net Photography?
Surrealist Photography?
It reminds me of the controversy & derision that arose when the Impressionists
started showing their work & it was widely panned~
& like the Realists or Romantics who feared that Impressionism would ruin painting
as an art form~what would they think of Pop or PostModern art?
There is room to express the artistry of every kind of manipulated photograph but,
I truly believe it needs a new classification....as a photography lover, I never want
to lose the awe & delight of a simple part of nature or human life, simply captured
& in some small way making our mundane lives a little more spiritual...

Anyway, really, do challenger's votes count? And what if a challenger is voting for himself?
