Well done, looks like you're having fun with that lens, and maybe learning some Entomology!

Nice shots!

Here's some calrification on the IDs:

1&2 assassin bug nymphs (note lack of fully developed wings)

last one is an acalyptrate fly - possibly a fruit fly but I don't have keys handy to verify to family

Thanks all for looking and commenting and compliments.

Hornet thanks for the IDs on the Assassin bugs, I didn't know they were nymphs.

And for the ID of the fly. The ones I found on BugGuide didn't give a common name.

Good shots for the most part, missed the focus on the frog eye though. Looks like once you get to know that lens you'll be getting some nice pictures with it. I should be out with my extension tubes and here I am staring at a computer...

Thanks Pete.

The frog eye was a crop from this:

So that's why I missd focus on the eye.

Here's another from the same day as the fly:

That I am not sure what it is, thought it might be another Leaf Hopper but doesn't look like those on the BugGuide pages.

Thanks Hornet for the ID on the last one. This thing was hoppng all over a Hibiscus leaf and really hard to pin down to get a shot.
