Post your unusual macro subjects

Probably my favorite part of shooting macro is finding interesting and unusual subjects to photograph. Post some of your favorites. Let's try to avoid the typical pictures of bugs and flowers in this thread!

I will see if I can get the ball rolling.

Shooting into a hairdrier with a blue LED light shining into the other end.

Worm gear on the tuner of a classical guitar

Both pictures taken with Lester A. Dine 105mm macro lens

A Honey Nut Cheerio. Not terribly exciting, but makes me shiver at the amount of sugar glaze on it, whenever I look at the picture

Very cool. I wouldn't want to get stuck with the point of that pin coming into the right side of the frame. Might require a tetanus shot after that.

This one is a cross post from the June Single Challenge. It's a set of spin down wire wrap terminations on an iron telephone distribution frame.

May I be forgiven for including a bug as part of a macro self portrait?

I'll throw in a mouse skull and peanut for good measure:

Holy crap! That eyeball watching bug shot is insane. If it was a self-portrait, I don't know how you managed to get it all in focus. Very cool, thanks for posting.

It seems to be working today, no idea what was happening yesterday. Tried to copy several links, nothing would happen...

Anyway bugs and tiny flowers are my primary macro subjects, but I occasionally try to get something different. Here are a couple of mine.

Feather, 50mm lens and binocular lens macro rig

Exif says 135mm, but this may have been the 50mm and extension tubes, I forgot to reset the focal length one day not long ago, but don't remember if it was this set of macros

I'll let you guess...it should be obvious though...

Indoor still life, very rare for me

One of my favorite things is to try and get a lizard to let me get this close...135mm lens with around 75mm extension tubes means a foot or so. Not often I'm successful...
