I like the Mac Tak very much. I only have the DA35mm Macro to compare at this shorter focal length, and the differences are what one might expect. The DA is 'digitally sharp' and colourful. The Takumar is also very sharp, and colourful, but produces a different rendering, with less coating, and more 'glow' to the images. Personally, I prefer the Takumar rendering, but it requires more post processing. The metering on the K-3 doesn't work well for close up objects in bright light, so it takes a lot more manual trial and error. My lens, a preset 1:1, cost around $100. Well worth it; beautifully engineered, a joy to use and highly recommended.
