Macro Best moderate priced macro lens for newbie

With $500 you can get almost all the available macro lenses for Pentax except the Sigma 180mm f3.5 Macro, and the Pentax A*/FA* 200mm f4 Macro. If it was my money I'd buy the DA 35mm f2.8, great lens for casual micro and flexible for other subjects.

My recommend is Tokina 90mm 2.5 PK/A if you can find it! Almost unbeatable in any price level around this focus length.
