While the ISO performance is not as good as newer bodies, I did not think that
it was worthwhile to upgrade the K20D until the K-5 came out. It may not
have all the bells and whistles, but it is one solid performing body. Mine has
soldiered through everything I've asked of it. The K-5 had to go in for service.

It's no longer the go to body, but it's trustworthy, so probably won't ever get rid of it.

Nice, BruceBanner! Like the dew drops. White can be challenging to expose.

For its day Roger, the K20D was fantastic. I waited until the K-3 to upgrade but still have a soft spot for the K20D. My sister is using it now, so at least it is still in the family.

It was cold and windy last night, so I had to find some subjects in my house to try out my new DFA100 + HD1.4xTC combo...
Baby's breath is often used as filler in a bouquet, so I figured I'd try to highlight it's beauty here... This bloom was submerged underwater in the vase, almost looked like it was trying to break through the surface for air!

BruceBanner: It took my mind a moment to realize that's what you had done to the image. And stay calm - do not get upset that I didn't admire your PP work immediately. The single color treatment is very effective.

Haha, no offense taken, messing around with colours is going into the 'arty' realm and starts to become very subjective as to whether it appeals to one persons taste or another. My dad can't even stand black & white pics!
With this pic, the rose/flower was red, and no matter what tinkering I did I could not get the detail and color contrast that this version has. All I did (iirc) is turn all saturation off in the pic except red, and just mess around with the slider of hue and luminance of red, and voila! When i stumbled upon it, I immediately enjoyed the extra clarity, contrast and detail it brought about, and the tad of surrealism I thought added something, so I left it.

Having said that, this picture below I took on the same day, it's now seen 4000+ views and 130+ favs on flickr, it somehow managed to wander into 'Explore';

No one would think that such a fragile looking, dainty plant would survive our summers Bruce, but they thrive over here. Thanks for having a look and commenting mate.

I did not double check the id but I think the common name of this little flower is cranesbill or herb Robert. Scan from a chrome.
