The last Pentax macros that were not 1:1 were the A 100/4 and the A 50/2.8. The A 100/2.8 and all later F/FA/DFA macros are 1:1. The DA 35/2.8 is 1:1 as well.
Thanks boriscleto. I stand corrected.

I am not mistaken look at the yellow ratio markings on the barrel of the dental macro I provided. The dental macro is capable of 2:1 with the yellow close up lens.
Indeed, you have what I guess is a rare kit for Pentax, and looks in superb condition.

I owned tomioka macro and its m42 mt adapter needed. Focusing thru viewfinder at f2.8 is fine but stopping down to f11 n f16 almost pitch dark.

The same applies to reverse ring using 28 mm lens that gives abt 2.5x mag. Stopping down to f11 is almost not visible thru the viewfinder..

Whereas when I use a k moint Panagor 55 macro, same as Vivian 55 macro, the viewfinder is till bright at f 16 although it's a k mt without aperture contacts.

Without aperture contact and withioit the aperture lever , it would be extremely dim between 1 to max 2x magnification when you stop down f11 and smaller. I suppose at f2.8, f 4 and f5.6 the subject is still visible..

2 x magnification for pentax mt is a great addition to what we have in pentax macro availability and magnification can vary from 1 x to 2 x ratio.

For me its rare t capture macro at f 2.8 or f4..

Maybe we should petition pentax engineer to produce one max 2x mag lens with pka contact and add in a dual flash light at affordable cost, after all this are pentax faithful macro shooters😃😀
