Sometimes that insect trapping web can catch the wrong insect!

Nice pictures you have many more varieties of orb weavers than we have in the Northeast US.

Yes , the orb weavers do like to spin their webs at face height - A joy to walk into for sure , especially just after the sun has set ...
Is the orb weaver a more ancient spider ? Having a stinger in its abdomen ? .. ( Making it less of a fighting spider )
