Nice shots. Just curious...what is the practical working distance with the Raynox adapted to your Sigma 70mm?

Ring flash is too harsh. the trick is to experiment with different materials.

Those are great shots, love the jumpers. I don't think a ring flash is too harsh, the one I use has a type of diffuser around the flash tubes, and it has different power settings to get the right exposure at close working distances. Your soft box setup works fine also.
