Guess the Lens game



Here is a picture taken :

Clue = The face is 10mm High on actual figure .. Entire figure is 41mm from base to top of head .

Your job if you chose to accept it , is to guess what lens was used to take the picture .

This is a Macro shot : Be sure of that .
The camera used was my istD ( 6.1mp ) no cropping involved , image was downsized to 1024pix Wide , and saved @ 80% quality .

I own a lot of lenses :

Looking at the missed focus it'd gander the preset Macro-Takumar 50/f4 1.0x

I'll make a wild stab out of left field - Sigma 70-300 Super Macro (take your pick which flavor).

It's a much ridiculed lens for being soft at 300mm, but the trade is that they can get up to 1:2 in macro mode, which is a rarity for a cheap lens.

Dark dreary wet day ! Hard to see ... ( Is this better )

Viewfinder on istD is a little small ..

So far some good guesses , but no money shot !

Another clue = Some of you have the right idea ... + Its not a lens I have mentioned very often .
Nor is it a lens most would associate with Macro capability .

Reversed ring 28 mm is my guess.

Time to end this me thinks ..

Lens is a :

Pentax FA 70-200 with a +2 Close focus filter .. ( To bring the focus distance down )
Sun is out today , so I will see if I can find an insect to photograph , but I thought this might be an interesting exercise to get people thinking outside the box .

I wonder ?

With the +2 close focus filter ..

That is an amazing difference . A $5 filter and a $12 flash , so for less than $20 , you can dip your toes in the macro pool ...
