Insects on the Escarpment
Posted By: lukulele, 08-03-2016, 07:29 PM

A few from the Milkweed, Butterfly bushes, and flowers, behind the workshop. K-01, Tamron 172E 90mm on most of these and one F35-70. A great year for Swallowtails.

The first butterfly image is perfect! You could crop the bottom some if you want, but that's it!

Thanks Dave,
The K-01 with a good lens still renders colors as well as anything.

Very nice, behind your shop, eh? That's good work, kudos to the people who encourage native plants.

Those bumblebee-mimic robber flies are really interesting.

Thanks Terry,
There's been a tremendous effort to reintroduce native plants and minimize the invasive species that create so many issues in our area. We are fortunate to have a retired Penn State Professor Emeritus near us that writes an excellent blog on many of these subjects and has helped motivate us to increase the milkweed and other beneficial plants that attract so many colorful visitors.
