Shoo ?
As long as they leave most of their family in NSW ! , I dont mind a few to photograph ..
I sure don't want it to be like the 70's , a hundred flies per person .. Can still ( not so fondly ) remember running to the stinking hot car to get away from the flies ..
A 70 Deg C + car was preferable to the 100+ flies ... ( Talk about the fire and the hot plate )

In winter , it gets very hard to find one !
But as soon as those Northerly winds kick up , they blow the flies down south ..
And a few days ago we had some very strong Northerly Winds cresting 100kph .. ( Viola = Flies )

Look closely, this one is blowing a bubble! Taken early this morning, maybe the fly was re-hydrating after a night out.

Just move slowly !
Insects some times just dont want to move unless you give them a reason too ...
Flies are 50/50 , they might hang in there for the photo or not .
I always try to keep the sun in their eyes , and try not to cast a shadow on to them - that scares them a good 90% of the time .
