Oh, I get it. Do you mean do the comprehensive evaluation including its macro capability? Sure, I could do that. Since this is a basic lens, I thought the pentax website has already done the comprehensive review. Please confirm.

Also, does it matter if the most of the reviews is done by Canon camera (I am actually Canon user)? When it comes to autofocus accuracy, I could borrow my colleague's Pentax to perform the test.

If it's not on the list in the first post of this thread, it hasn't been done yet

I'm not sure about how Pentax lenses are mounted on Canon, but I'm assuming you loose all automatic metering and AF capabilities, right? Does this affect exposure accuracy at all?

I'd really like to see a full-blown comparison with the Canon kit, so I think this will be fine.

Ok, game is on. It should be a fine project. I will probably get a cheap Nikon kit lens to compare with too.

I am using a pentax to eos adapter with AF confirmation, in which metering is still working in the aperture priority mode in Canon camera even with built-in flash. (do not need stop down bottom) The adapter will also give signal when the object is in focus. When doing so, however, I found that the exposure is not as accurate as the autofocus. Anyway, this will be in the review. Thanks for the approval.

No problem. I wanted to help out the site in some way. I dealt my cards early, so I probably won't win, but it was a good exercise in writing a more technical styled review (something I've not done for my blog).

yeah the 50-200... I need to see if I can 'borrow' it for a bit... a little typo as I changed my mind a few times about what to try it against... there is also an older 135 that could be used, but i wanted to make it something still in production...

I'd like to review the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.

If multiple reviews are allowed (and if I have the time) I may also like to review the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8.

Thanks!

If you have the time, all those lenses would be welcome. I'm putting you down for the tamrom 17-50 for now; once that gets completed, we can look into the other options!

I'd like to review the "small stack of primes" the SMC Pentax-A 35-105mm F3.5.
I'm hoping to have the time to complete it given my trip to Canada later this month, and my daughter on the way late February. I should have time to fit it in across a few weekends. I'll let you know if I don't end up with enough time to complete it, but as of now I feel pretty confident that it'll happen.
