Snow Bird

A winter storm brings out hungry birds looking for something to eat. Photo taken Feb. 4 2011, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Nice photo. The bird isn't sharp though. It could have been a better photo. Generally unless you are using a tripod your shutter speed shouldn't be lower than your focal length. Ex. You have your camera at 200mm (300 since it is aps sensor) and your shutter speed is 1/125. You probably need at least 1/200. If you had shot this bird at F4 i think it would have turned out better. Not sure if you focused on the bird of the log as the log seems sharper as well.
