There are some truly beautiful pictures there but at the same time there are a few really "Not so good" photos as well. I'm also curious about #25 and how it even got into the contest. Doesn't someone moderate the pictures before they are posted to be voted on like dirty sensors(#1) and ghosting(#37)? I'm just sayin.....

There are some really excellent images here, many better than those I voted for. However, my criteria is an adherence to the theme and that the winner needs to show "park" rather than a mountain or part of a park. I recognized several scenes as being in a park, but if I didn't know that already, the scene could have been anywhere.

I kind of agree with both of you, Iam10f2 and crazyinmaine. I, too, tend to vote for the picture that tells me "Theme", in this case pictures that definitely say "This is a park" to me. It's also good to see how others think outside the box, even if I can't follow their thinking. Some pictures just let you know they were taken in a park, others make you stop and think and try to figure out, "OK, this says park to the photographer...how's he seeing that?" Doesn't mean I can always figure it out. Still others, I trust they took them in a park or something, but if I can take a similar picture just about anywhere, in a park or outside it, then it gets a lesser chance of being voted for by me. That's just my opinion, though.

I have to admit that there were a couple pictures that I liked, and one that I might have voted for, but because of technical issues (dust or sharpness for example) I elected not to vote for them. Yet, I'm glad to see them in these contests anyway, it shows the photographer is confident and I expect that they'll improve. Sometimes, too, that contributes to the overall quality of the picture. Not often that dust or scratches will, but sometimes they can.

Just my thoughts.

Just for your information. There was a different theme at first. It had something to do with showing your love for Pentax (I don't remember exactly). But as it turned out, it was an April fools prank. That's why photo #25 was posted.
