The photograph was taken from the (then closed) Warrego Highway at Marburg looking North at the submerged Marburg-Fernvale Road on 11 Jan. 2011 at 16:30. On Tues 11 Jan. 2011, shortly before this shot was taken, a 4-year-old boy was swept away by floodwater along the Lowood-Minden Road at Marburg on during an attempt to rescue him.

This photograph is dedicated to the victims of the 2010-2011 Queensland floods.
