The theme for the PentaxForums.com March Photo Contest is:

Negative Space

Accentuate your subject by using empty space. To do that, the background should be monotonous and boring yet also complement the subject. As usual, plase do not post your submissions as replies to this thread! Make a new thread in the submission sub-forum instead!

Actually, here is one of the best photographic examples I have ever seen - it is absolutely (no pun) true to the real meaning of negative space.
