Looking down the sheer drop below Castle Bled in Slovenia I saw a pair of Common Kestrels flying beneath. Trying not to miss the opportunity of getting a picture from this rather unusual point-of-view, I tried to follow them in flight, snapping pictures as they went past. Most of them ended a blur, but this shot in particular, taken as the animal banked slightly towards me, it's eyes scanning the cliff face below me, ended up being one of my favourite wildlife photos I ever took.
