Taken in The Netherlands we called this a "Boomvalk", in English the "Eurasian Hobby". I was walking with my dog when I saw this bird hunting for darters. I tried to follow but was very difficult, I was lucky that this bird stayed in the same area for 15 minutes. So after a lot of missed shots I was able to get 2 sharp ones.

In DXO I corrected the light and colours, a bit sharpening. In DXO, my combination of old manual Tamron 300mm f2.8 (adaptall 60B) with Tamron 1.7x AF tele-converter was seen as a Sigma 150-500mm.? I let it be :-)

If you look carefully you can see that he has the darter in his claws and on the other picture you can see biting the head off from the darter.

BR, Eric
