View of the Smokey Hollow Waterfall near Hamilton, ON
Contest Number: 88 Contest Theme: Rule of Thirds Lens: Pentax DA 18-55mm Camera: Pentax K-m Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F5.6

This is my first submission for a competition. I took this picture on an overcast day in August 2010 with Pentax K-m, which was my first DSLR. In this picture, I was attempting to capture something in each of the foreground, middle ground and the background. As a result, I was able to capture (from bottom) the rocks, the debris, a dead tree that perhaps held on to a rock till its last breath, the falls itself, the people behind the water curtain, and the greenery above the falls..
