Found the pace of Wall Street and the patience of the Salvation Army volunteers compelling. Sat on a set of steps in front of the Federal Hall until I got this shot. Shot with my new (at the time) 35mm 2.4 at 1/5 & f20.

Theme: Two people giving of their time to help others. In my mind, there's nothing that shows holiday spirit more than that.

Composition: A nice juxtaposition of stillness and movement. To my eye, it looks like patience in the midst of a frenzy.
I think it's a very effective composition and nicely done. Thanks for sharing it.

Having been a Salvation Army bell ringer for a couple of holiday seasons, I can relate to the feeling of standing there while people go about their daily lives.
