I barely made it in time for this. Clouds and light were looking good but I had to "Dukes of Hazzard" it over to the nearest spot I could get a reasonable photo. I took a few with a longer lens but quickly realized to do this scene justice I had to go wiiiide. I mounted up the 8mm and just got a couple of frames before the light changed and the sky went gray. I thought the cloud shapes and colors complemented the fall foliage very nicely. Glad I didn't get a ticket on my way there!

I'm disappointed by the number of just-average snapshots that have been submitted- the "Best of 2014", really? But THIS is an outstanding effort Matt, and absolutely deserves nomination! Had to laugh about your scramble to get there, ("been there, done that"), glad you didn't get a ticket. Beautiful image!
