Thanks for the comments/nominations. Looks like it has stiff competition from images that actually show the moon itself and more radical interpretations of the brief, but that's what makes these contests fun. The hardest thing about this image was being there at the right time closely followed by avoiding the temptation to push too much in PP to brighten or warm the image. I tried very hard to keep it as close to the light adjusted eye view I had at the time.

There's a freeway/motorway just on the other side of the castle.

They were hoping for driveby traffic for their MacDonalds and art shot? The one with the authentic tartans made in China?

I'd be really happy if someone gave me a space like that and about 10 million to fix it up, where are those benevolent billionaires when you need them? If we can get 10 million in crowd funding, are you in? We'll do the whole thing over, half as a studio and half as a display space for the photos we take there. You can use the ladies.

You know those friggin lenses you're always talking about... what were you thinking?

So what do you think. 10 million in crowd funding, would it be even close to enough?

I think it's out of the question. We are a western judeo-christian country. As such we are absolutely 100%, beyond all doubt, concretely, and fixedly commited to managed decline. It is always more easthetic

At least you have managed decline. We have aggressive developers intent on tearing them down and putting up condos.
