Submission for Contest #105 May 2015: Serenity · 03:11 PM

This photo shows one of my deepest, most cherished moments: when I see my daughter sleeping. I thank God that I'm able to provide her this sense of calmness and peace.

Note to the admins: The photo EXIF may show information about a Nikon D3100. This camera was used only to "scan" the negative. The photo was in fact taken with a Spotmatic and Kodak TriX, developed in HC110. That's why I don't include aperture and shutter information.

In my opinion, this picture is the most appropriate of the bunch, according to the title of the contest.
I like the composition and use of light and of depth of field as previously mentionned.
Also the point of view as well the general defocussing give a dreamy taste of intimacy, despite of the classicity of the subject.
Last but not least I like the original shot is an old chemical picture: a good image doesn't expire.

And this photograph is simply lighting up to my eyes.
It represents mankind in its purest essetial form.
Showering peacefulness.
This black&white photograph has the magic of the light.
