Nature and Infrastructure in Convergence
Contest Number: 106 Contest Theme: Converging Lines Lens: SMC Pentax DA 12-24mm f/4.0 Camera: K5 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F5.6

Here's a scene of a winter sunset at the Ogden Point Breakwater in Victoria, British Columbia. My 800-meter walk on the breakwater was proving to be uneventful. Then something marvelous happened: seconds just before the two startled seagulls took off, I managed to hurriedly take this. Little did I realize that the breakwater, the steel railing, the horizon, the clouds, the reflections on the water surface, and even the floating debris all converge towards a vanishing point in the centre of the photograph. That the two seagulls were about to fly towards that point of convergence was just a providential bonus.

I like the photo and the convergence of even the debris. Anyway, I feel the emphasis of the centre by increasing the brightness a bit exaggerated.
