#1) Turned junk into a beautiful abstract.
#2) Not a lot of junk but a whole lot of mess.
#3) Looks more like a messy garage filled with treasures than junk. Also looks more like a Blender Render than a photograph. That may have been the look they were going for but I do not think it helped.
#4) Beautiful photograph of a junked car but the photo does not shout, “junk,” to me.
#5 Again, treasures.
#6) More garbage and decay, less junk.
#7) Now that's junk in the tru…, I mean,… cabin. But the composition seems to suck more than the beach. That declaration just dominates the message but the beach in question is not really seen.
#8) A theatre in decay. A sad state of affairs but not really junk.
#9) Junk in a junkyard. Well composed. Not well exposed (or perhaps a deliberate attempt to expose for the shadow as the most interesting part of the scene). Very nice.
#10) Again, garbage in decay.
#11) A snapshot. No real composition, too much distractions, No real story being told.
#12) I see an idea and a story forming I just cannot tell what it is but I do like where you are going with this.
#13) Nice composition of a mess.
#14) (Photo Not Available). {17th September 2015 @ 15:27UTC}
#15) The aftermath of a natural disaster?
This was a difficult challenge (hence, no entry from me; could not really find a worthy subject myself). Congrats to all who gave it their best. That was better than I did.
To me, only
five six (of the
fourteen fifteen I can see) met the challenge and only
two three did it justice.

Junk mean "old or discarded articles that are considered useless or of little value". I have heard "junk" many times. This word suits to machines especially, so photos with junk cars should be nominated for sure. Photos of places, houses and interiors should have another category.
…To wit, anything not discarded and anything not considered useless nor of little value is not junk. Many of these photos were of treasures or just a big mess and lost or missing items are not really discarded neither buildings which have been neglected. Hence, thus and therefore, most of these are not junk.
EDIT: Missing № 14
#14) is back and it is beautiful! Unfortunately, if I wanted to change my vote I cannot…. But I am seriously considering it.

Reason: Comment on missing photograph which is now visible.
