I hope you will participate frequently. Voting in the Monthly Theme Contest is a good start. If you are up to it, find a good night shot you've taken and submit it for this month's contest. After all the shots are submitted, then we nominate finalists by commenting on them. In my opinion, every one deserves at least one comment, even if they struggled with the theme!

Merriam-Webster defines "junk", in part, thusly: "1: pieces of old cable or cordage used especially to make gaskets, mats, swabs or oakum 2: hard salted beef for use on shipboard 3a(1): old iron, glass, paper or other waste that may be used again in some form (2): secondhand, worn or discarded articles of little value b: a shoddy product : TRASH c: something of little meaning or significance..."
I think the tendency is to be too rigid defining the themes of the Forum's monthly photo contests. Let's let the artist in each of us render something personal. Let's apply a broad brush as we try to appreciate what each of us offers.

I wish there was a way to avoid the over-painted-photoshop-fakes. Does anyone else object to fake eagle cloud painted on number four. Oh well I guess it's a painting contest now.
