Silvery black and white creates the stylish elegance of a 1930s-1940s celebration - Fred Astaire tapping against rhythms of clinking glasses -- I can hear big band music and echoes of Guy Lombardo's Auld Lang Syne. Light refractions of ghostly past dissolving into present with mysterious reflections of future's possibilities. Gorgeous range of tones and textures from the more abstract, painterly reflections in the champagne bucket, to the sharp details of the bottles and harlequinesque shapes of the candelabra against the larger areas of shadow and gradations in the background. I like the rhythm of verticals (candles and bottle necks) which feels like music and dance. At first glance, the bottles seemed to be in movement. Also contemporary -- the candelabra's facets reminiscent of the Waterford crystal ball sparkling in Times Square. Exquisite way to celebrate a season of transitions...Nominated!!!

Although I already commented last night, I'm still thinking about this photograph and had to look at it again. I noticed what looks like reflections of NYC architecture adorned with Christmas decorations in the "bubbles" around the champagne, which adds even more to the already festive seasonal feeling. When I mentioned Fred Astaire in the first comment, I realized also that those black and white musicals from the 40's were fantasy escapes from the stress, fear, and economic strains during WW II. Although we have different conflicts and financial concerns now, the "period" yet contemporary quality brings that full circle as we escape into celebration with hopes for peace in 2016 -- very touching...

This is some advanced stuff. Agree with the comments above. There are two others I liked but this is the best. I hope it is genuine, because it stands out.

A bit of explanation would be welcome - how was what done and why. Just the basics, it would be too hard to monkey anyways so you don't have to worry (I think).
