Winter Milky Way over Jay Peak
Contest Number: 113 Contest Theme: Composite Lens: smc Pentax-M 28 mm f/2.8 Camera: K-30 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F2.8

The constellation Orion and the bright star Sirius over Vermont Green Mountains seen from Glen Sutton (Québec).

Three frame panorama. Each frame is 150 s exposure iso 800. Stars tracked using Pentax astrotracer function. Foreground is a fixed exposure of 360 s. Each frame had vignetting removed by applying a flat frame in DeepSkyStacker. Everything stitched using Photomerge Panorama in PSE 11 (It actually sounds more complicated than it is).

Amazing what you did with the K-30 and an M 28mm! Congratulations! Nominated!
You just made me remember the cold cloudless winter nights around Bishop's University, in Lennoxville. Thanks for that!

Thanks for your support everyone!
@amrocha The old M 28 is indeed a great piece of glass! Bishop is a beautiful campus, the stars must look a little different from Brazil!
