Snowglobe 2015 is a composite image constructed from 4 images and various Photoshop techniques. I photographed two wine goblets against a black background. The most ornate one was the base of the snowglobe. I created a mask around the 2nd wine goblet's "bowl" and cut it away from the image. I then inverted the selection and set it in place on top of the first goblet. I opened the girl's photo, masked and removed her from the background. I then placed her inside the Snowglobe as a smart object. She was resized and positioned. The white tree was cut from it's selection and placed inside the snowglobe. A perspective warp was applied; the image was copied, reversed and placed on the other side. I created a border around the image and text underneath to create a gallery print. All images were opened and adjusted prior to creating the composite. |
