That's the first quarter Moon of 2016 seen from the Southern Hemisphere.
Taken on Jan 17th, 2016 near Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Composite of the Moon with the glowing high clouds around it. That was my first trial with Photoshop. I tried in-camera multiexposures, but the Moon was never in the correct position, so I tried it later in Photoshop.

Settings for the background: 1/10s iso1000 f8.0
Settings for the Moon: 1/160s iso80 f8.0
