I agree, all photos are worth the first prize. Each one has its own value in technique, time and space.

I unlike other posters will not say which I voted for . I will say that several well composed photos were eliminated for being too sharp. In portatiure razor edge shapness is NOT your friend.

I also kept this in mind which ruled out some environmental portraits.
Simple Definition of portrait
: a painting, drawing, or photograph of a person that usually only includes the person's head and shoulders
