Tough to pick between #2 and #5, in the end I chose #2 because I really like the subject and the composition. #5 would be great in colour, would love to see that, hopefully when it wins? Honourable mention to #1 my 3rd choice.

Curious for a landscape, but has action, composition, and a wide gamut of tones in black and white. It drags you in for subject matter. There were several others that were more along the line of the standard landscape that were also excellent.

Each photo is magical in its own right, but to me number 5 evokes the feeling of a a student looking out of a passenger car window as they are traveling by train to Hogwarts. What could be more magical than that?

There are so many really great photos in this vote, so it is not easy to chose a favourite!
But for me it shows the really outstanding role of BW photography !
