I approached this individual while with my family at Hueston Woods State Park. The poetry of this elderly man sitting at the large window and looking out at the lake was inescapable. I asked if I could take his picture and he agreed. We then chatted for about 30 minutes about photography, that he had worked for the Cincinnati Post for many years as a photojournalist. Everything about him was very pleasant.
Once home, I was curious to know more about this long-time photographer.
It turns out that Mr. Melvin Grier has had quite the photography career!
