Sundown with mirror

This picture was taken just a couple of days ago near to my home. After sun went down, the sky began to shine in pink and red colours, as the clouds were illuminated from below. I tried to create a symmetry in the picture with the trees and red skies mirrored by the little river. I was struggling quite a bit between portrait and landscape variations, but in the end decided for the portrait orientation.

I think this genre of landscape is difficult because it is by nature two dimensional. Many good photos here. I like this one because the trees along the water lead us to the subject. It is well done, and the landscape is compelling.
