This is a tombstone in the graveyard at Waikaraka Park Cemetery. Established in September 1890.
Its such a peacefull place where i used to go for my lunch break.
Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand, 1990
Kodak Technical Pan film @ 12ASA.
printed onto Ilford fibre based multigrade paper, bleached and kodak sepia toned and then with Agfa Viradon to give more depth to the shadows.
Kodak sepia produces a yellow/brown tone all over.
Agfa Viradon tones the darker parts a darker red/brown, the longer its processed the darker it gets.
This print is mounted in a gold frame rescued from the tip and restored, has been on display for 20 years and has not faded at all due to the achival treatment in processing.
This is real black and white, shot on film, developed in chemicals, printed on paper in darkroom, toned twice in chemicals, not digital converted to b&w and messed around with Photoshop.
