In the first round, I liked it because it was pertinent to the theme, but I voted differently.

Now I do not think I'm wrong, the serpentine inserted in the foliage between the trees create a very special frame, #2

There are so many S's embedded in Photo #1 along with the obvious. Sunburst, stillness, shadows, silhouette, and more than likely, silence. A beautiful image.
However, my vote goes further down to another nature shot.
Beautiful in it's simplicity and subtle tones.
Congratulations to all entrants for making the finals. Each photo is a winner in it's own right.

Hi silcam,

It was a very beautiful song by Scott Mckenzie, I'm not wrong?
Sorry to say not Scott. Frank Sinatra 1957 Julie London 1962 Westlife 2004 and just recently Tony Bennet 2014. Scott wore flowers in his hair in 1967.

#3 Having placed rebar in many simpler situations this photo completely understates the physical exertion this graceful "s" curve required . The labor is intense , much sweat and real physical pain was experienced ,in terms of broken toes and fingers . A video of the "rod busters"would be most instructive to the uninitiated . I have witnessed steel as thick as 1 1/2" woven into mats by gangs of six men screaming in unison as they force high tensile strength steel into position. Very few men can do this work beyond 20 years .
