Milky Way Over Echo Lake

A beautiful night at a friends cottage in the summer. Was all ready to get some milky way photos as it was a new moon and the end of June. Packed everything before heading up there, or so I thought. When midnight rolled around I went to get my camera and tripod, but then realized I forgot the mounting plate for the tripod. Determined to get the photo I found whatever I could to help the camera point to the sky. A baseball glove proved to be a wonderful tripod, gave the camera just the right angle, and fairly steady. Luckily the light pollution from the city close by just added a nice little touch, and a little bit of post processing after to help the stars pop.
