Late in the day, early spring, returning from visiting with my ill mother in hospital, I couldn't help but stop to admire the cirrus clouds fanning out across the Adirondack lake, portending a change in weather. The soft cloud curls reminded me of my mother's hair spread out on a dark pillow of the sky. All I had with me was the kit lens I'd bought long before with a different camera, the K200d, but it did an admirable job of capturing the scene, I think.
