While hiking through Pittsburgh's North Park and looking for interesting Fall shots, this group of leaves stood out to me. While the overall scene was pretty boring, the sun was peeking through the woods and illuminating these leaves as well as the background. By the time I set up to take the shot, clouds came by and covered up the sun. It was a good 10 or 15 minutes later that I was finally able to get the shot that I was originally planning. I refer to this shot often as a good example of how an extremely cheap zoom lens (DA-L 55-300) can still produce really good results. While it was hard to narrow down which illuminated leaf shot I wanted to use, this was one of my first favorites. | |
