Breathtaking -- wild -- elegant -- sensuous -- spiritual. A visual haiku offering heightened awareness, sensation, and further contemplation. The petals make me think of Buddhist monks in meditation experiencing enlightenment. Also it feels as if the sun is inside the flower and I'm a bee about to partake of the life source and nectar. A delicate, subtle and powerful use of complementary colors with a rich range of tonalities, emphasized by the composition. The detail is extraordinary as each petal asserts its uniqueness and yet all interconnected as they touch and seemingly caress each other. A dance for the senses, mind and spirit! I am drawn in to keep looking... NOMINATED!
