I choose image no. 4. I am wary about pix with bees, they can easily be dropped into a composite photo. But all great shots.

Very confusing - for some reason it says I can't vote in this poll. So why send me the email?

If I could, I'd vote for number 10
I was unable to vote also, until I logged in to the forum. Is that perhaps your problem also?

Having regard to the stated theme, #13 is the stand out favorite for me. While they are all technically excellent, I thought that one alone has meaningful context.

if J ' m not wrong, the contest consist to pick up a close whole flower, not some détails of it, even if very well done. Then J will vote for a picture of a whole flower. Not sayng witch one.
I agree here. The flower as an artistic composition rather than closeup detail. That said, they are all superb in the skill employed.

official "Flowers Up Close" theme?

Can someone--Adam, moderator--step in here and supply us with the official "Flowers Up Close" contest theme?

I don't recall anything in the original about a complete flower's being necessary. I think if that's what you prefer as a viewer and judge, or perhaps what you yourself photographed, you've got some good examples here.

Personally, I think all these images are on-theme and fine to vote for. But I'd love to see the full theme again . . . though part of me thinks it may have simply been "Flowers Up Close."

Although I didn't vote for it, I love number 15. It looks like an angel following a flying leopard. Excellent photo.

I didn't nominate any photo as a finalist; it just seemed too hard. And maybe it was too hard to think about with all the cold here in Wisconsin.

But I did make a mental note of a number of the those images, and here they are. Tough choice, for sure, but this time I made myself make a decision.

Great set of images this month, probably the best set of fifteen I've seen for the final vote since I've been here.
Couldn't agree more, fantastic shots
